Artists Models

I have chosen one of my artists models to be Ans Westra who is a self-taught New Zealand photographer. Ans Westra as a teenager her stepfather owned a Leica camera, which he took a lot of photographs with, this is how she was introduced to photography.

Also another artist model I have been looking at is Marti Friedlander who was born in England, from the age of three she was raised in orphanages with her sister. She married a New Zealander in 1957 and then emigrated to New Zealand in 1958. She started with working as a nurse for her husband and it wasn't till after she lost her first child to when she started taking photographs of other children.

    these are really good, strong images that you have chosen to work with as a starter. when are you going to start with your estelle project?
